Dr. Sharmila Huda is a Bangladeshi-born pharmacologist and public health personnel. Over the
past six years, she has been working as a member of Public Health Foundation of Bangladesh,
currently she is holding the post of treasurer. She is also working as Associate Professor of
Pharmacology in Bangladesh Medical College, the first private medical college in Bangladesh.
She has earned her MBBS through the University of Dhaka and subsequently completed M.Phil
in Pharmacology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Sharmila has published different articles related to pharmacology in renowned health
magazines of Bangladesh. She has also presented different papers in various Public Health and
Pharmacological Society Programs.
In addition, Sharmila hosts a health program “Square Hospital Doctor’s Chamber” regularly on
Sharmila’s ongoing mission is “Building Healthy Nation” by working with Public Health
Foundation of Bangladesh by being “proactive, innovative and self-motivated” which are the
criteria of a member of Public Health Foundation of Bangladesh.
